Equipped and Empowered - Tampa Fellowship

Today I’m going to briefly tell you about the new Christian fellowship that some friends and I have started in Tampa, called Equipped and Empowered.  Just to start with the basics, we are meeting once a month on Sunday nights at MorningStar Church, located at 5102 W. Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, FL 33624.  We meet at 6:30 and the meetings last about two hours.  Our upcoming dates are August 16, September 13, October 18, November 15, and December 13.  The meetings are open, and we would love to see you there. While we do meet at MorningStar Church, this fellowship is not officially associated with any church.  At our last meeting, for example, I think we had 25 people, praise God, and we had people from at least four or five different churches.  Our leadership team for these meetings is me, Pastor Stephanie Parker and her husband Scott Parker, Rossaue Hosein, and Mark and Midge Graham.  I will talk about those wonderful people a little bit later in this m...

God will bring His Word to pass.

Hello, my friends, I hope you have all been well.  Let me start by saying that if any of you listen to this (or any of my teachings) and you ever want to talk about it, please know that I’m here for you and I would love to hear from you.  Also, if this blesses you or encourages you, please share it, leave a comment or review, like, subscribe, follow, etc. I know that it has been a while since my last message and I’m sorry about that.   I hope you are all having a nice summer.   We have had a lot going on at our house, but I’m going to start getting back into the messages on a more regular basis.   Another thing I wanted to mention to you is that some friends and I have started a new Christian fellowship in Tampa.   We are calling it Equipped and Empowered and we have had three meetings so far and it’s going really well.   We are focusing on the Holy Spirit, the Spiritual Gifts, praying for each other, and some of the deeper aspects of Christianity ...

Understanding Spiritual Power - Made Easy

In this message we are going to discuss spiritual power generally.  What is spiritual power?  How do we obtain spiritual power?  How do we start using spiritual power?  So on and so forth. Let’s first note spiritual power in Jesus’ life, for He is, of course, the author and finisher of our faith. (Luke 3:21-22 NKJV) When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased." (Luke 4:1-2 NKJV) Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. (Luke 4:14 NKJV) Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out thro...

Divine Provision Made Easy

Hello, my friends, I hope you have all been well.   Let me start by saying that if any of you read this or listen to this (or any of my teachings) and you ever want to talk about it, please know that I’m here for you and I would love to hear from you.   Also, if this blesses you or encourages you, please share it, leave a comment or review, subscribe, follow, etc. This May I will reach 22 years in focusing on God’s will for my life.   Let me be the first to say that I should be farther along, I should have done more, and I should have borne a lot more fruit.   I feel pretty bad about that, but the only thing I can do is press on and try to do better.   When I first turned my life to the Lord, in May of 2004, I was attending Dr. Creflo Dollar’s church in Atlanta.   It’s a great church and above all they emphasized studying God’s Word to live God’s way.   Hopefully you have seen that concept emanating fro...
