Samaritan's Purse International Relief is a nondenominational evangelical organization of Christian Gospel sharing and assistance to those in need worldwide.  Currently headed by Franklin Graham, son of renowned evangelist Billy Graham, this ministry truly brings the love of Christ to the world.   Samaritan's Purse not only distributes Bibles, food, and basic necessities, it also helps establish and strengthen communities through its development programs.  They are giving fishing boats and equipment to help fishermen in Bolivia.  They build schools and help develop farms in other countries.  They even build churches in Sudan and elsewhere.  They do all this and more to practically reach the people and share the love of Jesus Christ with them.  EFG firmly believes in education and the old saying, "if you give a man a fish he will eat for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he will eat for the rest of his life."  The Scriptural remedy for poverty is hearing the Gospel

Hand of Hope is the international ministry/outreach arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries.  EFG greatly admires Joyce Meyer and all of her ministry's works.  But last November at a conference in Tampa, FL, Byron and Shannon really learned about all of Joyce's international efforts.  They immediately decided to partner with Joyce Meyer Ministries, and they have been exceedingly blessed in doing so.  EFG wants to see all the nations reached with the salvation and loving power of Jesus Christ.  Hand of Hope does just that.  Hand of Hope currently has many programs, and we will share a few of them here.  They feed thousands with both Spiritual food and natural food in many countries, including Ethiopia, Mexico, South Africa, and India. The Judeo-Christian God is the only living God.  All other God's are idols.  God originally established Judaism with Abraham the Hebrew and his descendants. Eventually God blessed all people of the earth through Abraham's seed, Jesus Christ. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior they are born again. This means that the person's spirit is now born of God, and they literally are born again into God's family. As born-again Christians we are the sons and daughters of God. God loves all people, but Jesus only gives His believers the power to become the children of God. Only Christians have full access to the Spirit of God, which lives in them along with their reborn spirit. No man comes to God but by Jesus. S

Here in the Central Florida area we are blessed to have a wonderful radio station, The Joy FM.  One of the hosts of the morning show, Carmen Brown, is collecting shoes for orphans in Peru.  Her goal is 10,000 pairs, so that will take many of us donating to help her.  What a wonderful, practical expression of God's love.  It's hard for many Americans to understand the worldwide need for basic necessities such as shoes.  Most people in Zimbabwe currently live in terrible poverty.  While Byron and Shannon were there they purchased inexpensive sandals they could get wet in while visiting Victoria Falls.  After the tour ended, they passed a young girl leading an elderly blind man down the street.  Shannon asked the driver to pull over and she gave the girl her sandals.  I wish I had a picture of the girl's face.  She looked like someone had handed her a stack of money.  She smiled and waved until we were out of site.  Byron then gave his sandals to their driver, who was also ver

Byron Howell Ministries is a ministry about honoring God and encouraging Christians to do great works for God and His people.  God still uses people to do awesome works in the world today.  The ministry of Jesus lives on through His Body, the collection of Christians.
